I’m identifying the two main poisons of perfectionism and the ONE benefit of not shutting it out completely in our lives. Perfectionism usually sneaks in when we least expect it, disguised as all-or-nothing thinking that affects our ability to move forward, to have confidence in our decisions and as a mechanism for which we can never measure up or be “enough” in this ever-changing world.
Can perfectionism help us at all? I’m redefining perfectionism and weighing the pros and cons of letting it go forever versus allowing it to stay in a motivating capacity.
